The 8th IA21 International Juried Competition is open for entries! Theme is "Composition". In the judgment of entries there will be consideration of style, content, use of medium, etc. Composition, one of the basic fundamentals of Fine Art, will be the primary basis of judgment.
The Scope
- Eligibility: Artwork of the following mediums - Painting, Drawing, Photography, Digital Art, Mixed Media, and Printmaking. Entries are to be submitted as digital files - .jpg file type.
- Awards: The winner will be awarded $3,000. 2nd place will be awarded a slot in the Artists Directory section of the 2010 Summer edition of ARTnews magazine. Until the conclusion of the competition 3 entries will be selected at the end of every month by IA21 and featured on the home page. The monthly features will be chosen by IA21, however the grand finale will be orchestrated by the panel of jurors.
- Deadline: May 30th, 2010 is the deadline however artists are encouraged to submit now to become involved in monthly features.
- Entry Fee: $20 per set of 4 entries. There is not a limit on number of submissions.
